Kennedy University Hospital was named one of the nation’s Top Performers on Key Quality Measures of 2012 by The Joint Commission (TJC), the leading accreditor of healthcare organizations in America. Kennedy was recognized for its achievement on the following measure sets: heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, and surgical care. Kennedy was recognized by The Joint Commission for exemplary performance in using evidence-based clinical processes that are shown to improve care for certain medical conditions. Kennedy is one of 620 hospitals in the U.S. – and one of only 14 in the state of New Jersey -- earning the distinction of Top Performer on Key Quality Measures for attaining and sustaining excellence in accountability measure performance.

The Kennedy Surgical Center is accredited by The Joint Commission and the American Osteopathic Association.
Kennedy’s Laboratory Services are accredited through the internationally recognized College of American Pathologists (CAP), and the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), administered through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The Maternal-Fetal Medicine Unit at Kennedy University Hospital - Washington Township is accredited in Obstetric Ultrasound through the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM). Kennedy’s Child & Adolescent Inpatient Mental Health Unit (CAPU) is designated as a Children’s Crisis intervention Service by the NJ Division of Children’s Behavioral Health Services. Kennedy’s Adult Inpatient Mental Health Unit is designated as Short-Term Care Facility by the NJ Division of Mental Health & Addiction Services. Kennedy University Hospital in Cherry Hill is an US News and World Report Best Hospitals 2012 Gold Plus Award winner for stroke care and designated Stroke Honor Roll status. This is in recognition of at least 24 months of 85% adherence on all achievement measures applicable, and at least 75% or higher adherence on select quality measures in heart failure and/or stroke. Kennedy University Hospital – Stratford is a Silver Award winner in the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s “Get With The Guidelines” program for excellence in stroke care. Kennedy University Hospital – Washington Township is an US News and World Report Best Hospitals 2012 Silver Plus Award winner for stroke care. This is in recognition of at least 12 months of 85% adherence on all achievement measures applicable, and at least 75% or higher adherence on select quality measures in heart failure and/or stroke. Kennedy University Hospital – Washington Township is a Bronze Award winner in in the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s “Get With The Guidelines” program for excellence in stroke care. Kennedy University Hospital – Washington Township has been designated a Comprehensive Stroke Center by the New Jersey Department of Health & Senior Services. Kennedy is one of only two hospitals located south of Trenton to hold this designation. The Comprehensive Stroke Center designation is the state’s highest level for hospital-based stroke care. The Kennedy Diabetes Control outpatient education program holds Recognition status by American Diabetes Association for Diabetes Self-Management Education. Kennedy’s STAT Transport is certified in the Safe Handling of Bariatric Patients by transport equipment manufacturer, TransSafe, Inc. Kennedy Dialysis Program received 5 Diamond Patient Safety Status from Quality Insights Renal Network Three (QIRN3) in recognition of patient safety and quality care.
