Harry Gamble

Harry Gamble is a member of Kennedy Health System Board of Directors and the Kennedy University Hospital Board of Trustees. He also serves on the Kennedy Property Corporation Board of Trustees. Dr. Gamble is a member of the Kennedy Health System Boards’ By-Laws & Rules Committee.

Dr. Gamble is undoubtedly one of South Jersey’s greatest local ambassadors to the sport of football. His impressive career - which began in the 1940s and spanned nearly 60 years – took him from Pitman High School all the way to the NFL. His professional accomplishments include:

  • Being a successful high school player at Pitman (1948 graduate) and later captain of Rider College’s 1952 team.
  • Serving as one of South Jersey’s most respected football coaches at Clayton and Audubon high schools in the 1950s and 1960s. (In 1960, he was named South Jersey Coach of the Year by the Brooks-Irvine Memorial Football Club).
  • Becoming a long-time college football assistant and head coach, with stops at Lafayette and Penn.
  • Rising through the ranks from volunteer assistant coach to team president with the Philadelphia Eagles from 1981 through 1995 and later serving as an executive with the NFL as Coordinator of Football Operations and Club Relations.

Dr. Gamble works with several local organizations, including the Adam Taliaferro Foundation, a non-profit that raises money to assist athletes and others who suffer from spinal cord injuries, and the Brooks Irvine Memorial Football Club.

He received his undergraduate degree from Rider University and his master’s and doctorate degrees in business education from Temple University.

Dr. Gamble and his wife, Joan, reside in Haddonfield, NJ.
