Cancer Center Classes - Center for Hope and Healing

The Center for Hope and Healing classes and programs

The Kennedy Cancer Center enhances its mission to nurture cancer patients through the Center for Hope and Healing.  The Center for Hope and Healing promotes an optimum life experience for people with cancer, their family members and medical caregivers. Through individual and group sessions, and self expression through interaction with others, the use of physical activities and various arts are introduced and encouraged as an effective tool for coping with cancer.

The Center for Hope and Healing classes are open to cancer survivors, current cancer patients and their care givers.

Chair Yoga is ideal for the person who finds it difficult to participate in traditional yoga class due to physical limitations or joint issues. All poses are performed seated or standing, using a chair as support.

Reflexology is a popular alternative therapy. It promotes relaxation, improves circulation, reduces pain, soothes tired feet, and encourages overall healing. It is also used for post-operative or palliative care. Reflexology is recommended as a complementary therapy and should not replace medical treatment.
