February is American Heart Month!
Tuesday, February 04, 2014

February is American Heart Month, where we focus on heart health and heart disease prevention. Heart disease is a major killer of men and women, so we need to take extra care of our hearts all year round! What have you done recently to keep your heart beating steady? Are you exercising? Walking instead of driving? Eating better? Smoking Less?

Here are some great events and opportunities available through Kennedy Health System to help keep you on the road to a healthy heart.

Healthtrax Wellness and Fitness  at the Kennedy Health and Wellness Center is a full service gym and fitness center, with amenities for all ages, experience levels, and fitness types. If you are not on a consistent workout routine, maybe it's time to check out Healthtrax and get started today!

Join us on February 6th at 6:30-7:30pm for "The Heart of the Matter for Women," and learn the signs and symptoms that are often ignored by women with early signs of heart disease.

Looking for a place to talk, laugh, and learn about sexuality as you age? Come join us on February 12th at 2:00-3:00pm for "New Expectations for Your Relationship? A Guide to Life and Love as You Age," with guest speaker Joyce Lappin. Enjoy a little dark chocolate while joining in the conversation about the realities and changes of being a sexual person in later life.
