Kennedy University Hospitals (KUH) offers a postgraduate year one (PGY1) pharmacy residency training program that is currently under candidate status by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). The Department of Pharmacy provides a comprehensive program of patient care services, including medication distribution, clinical services, drug information, educational services, and research for all patient populations. These services are rendered via a centralized main pharmacy in each hospital location, which provides all pharmaceutical products. The clinical aspects of pharmaceutical services include drug information, medication management, medication error review, adverse drug reaction monitoring, staff education, drug-drug & food-drug interactions, medical round participation, assessment of medication allergies, and patient education.
