A special celebration in recognition of Kennedy Health becoming a member of the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Network at Jefferson was held September 21st at the Kennedy Cancer Center. The event included presentation of a plaque to representatives of the Barbara A. Colameco Cancer Transportation Fund, which earlier this year donated $40,000 to Kennedy’s Cancer Patient Assistance Fund that provides supportive services to patients facing hardships during their cancer treatment.

Kennedy Health Named A National "Sepsis Hero"

Kennedy Health, a multi-hospital health care system in southern New Jersey, was honored by the National Sepsis Alliance as a “Sepsis Hero” for 2016 – the only hospital in the U.S. to be so honored.  Kennedy was one of five honorees at the Sepsis Heroes Gala held in New York City Thursday night, September 15th. Kennedy Health was recognized for its extensive Sepsis Program, which has resulted in sepsis mortality rates of less than 10 percent, below both state and national average mortality rates.

It was a night to remember on Thursday, September 15th when Kennedy Health was honored as a “Sepsis Hero” by the National Sepsis Alliance for 2016 – the only hospital in the U.S. to be so honored.
