Augustine “Augie” Pirolli, Founding President of Kennedy, Passes Away at 84

Kennedy’s founding President, Augustine “Augie” Pirolli, passed away on August 15, 2015  at age 84.

Under his leadership, Kennedy grew from a 99-bed community hospital, established in 1965, to a 607-bed multi-hospital system, becoming the principal teaching affiliate of UMDNJ-SOM (now Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine) in the process.

Saving Lives Through Lung Cancer Screening

Research shows that screening with low-dose CT lung scans reduces the number of lung cancer deaths by 20 percent. Kennedy Health, a member of the Penn Cancer Network, has been leading regional efforts to provide early lung cancer screenings to area residents.
