Eytan Irwin, MD, FACS, FASCRS, recently performed a successful colon stent implant on a male patient at Kennedy University Hospital in Washington Township. The patient, a 64-year-old Deptford, NJ resident, came to the hospital through its Emergency Department with a colon obstruction due to recurrent colon cancer.

They’re brother and sister, both doctors (one who cares for humans, and the other, pets) and both runners. So it makes perfect sense that Kennedy surgeon Louis Balsama, D.O., 38, and his sister, veterinarian Dena Balsama, DVM, 37, would be ready to tackle the Boston Marathon on April 18^th together.

Helene Burns, MSN, RN, Assistant Vice President of Clinical Services at Kennedy University Hospital in Stratford, NJ, and her husband Frank Burns (not pictured), along with Lt. Michael Meyers of the Stratford Police Department, were both recently recognized as an American Heart Association “Heartsaver Hero” for performing CPR and/or using an automatic external defibrillator (AED) to save someone’s life.
