Kennedy-Stratford Honors Salvatore S. Corma II with Memorial Plaque

A plaque in memory of a young Army Lieutenant killed in Afghanistan in 2010 was recently dedicated at Kennedy University Hospital in Stratford. Wenonah, NJ, native Sal Corma II was killed at age 24 in April 2010, after waving aside 18 other soldiers to isolate an improvised explosive device. The dedication of the memorial plaque, which is located by two outside benches by the hospital’s main entrance, included a presentation of the Gloucester County Military Service Medal by USAF NJ National Guard Major Brad Thompson.

The Kennedy Neuroscience Center of Southern New Jersey, a member of the Jefferson Neurosciences Network (JNN), celebrated the opening of its new $5.7-million Interventional Neurosurgery Suite at its Washington Township hospital. This 1,098-square-foot hybrid suite is the latest concept in providing expedited care for patients requiring neurovascular intervention.
