Cherry Hill Brownie Troop Visits Kennedy’s ACE Unit

A special inter-generational event took place on Saturday, May 21st at Kennedy’s Acute Care for Elders (ACE) Unit when Cherry Hill Brownie Troop 30064 (made up of 2nd-graders from Horace Mann Elementary School) visited. The youngsters read short stories that they’d composed as part of their badge requirements for the Storytelling Journey badge. The troop “adopted” the ACE Unit, located at Kennedy University Hospital in Stratford,  in the 2015, and the girls received their badges at the conclusion of the visit.

American Heart Association Recognizes Kennedy University Hospitals’ Commitment to Quality Stroke Care

Kennedy University Hospitals in Cherry Hill, Stratford and Washington Township, NJ, have each received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award.

In addition, Kennedy – Cherry Hill has received the Target: StrokeSM Honor Roll Elite award, and Kennedy – Washington Township has received the Target: StrokeSM Honor Roll Elite Plus award. These awards
recognize the hospitals’ commitment to providing the most appropriate stroke treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines.

Campus Revitalization Project ‘Topping Off’ held at Kennedy – Cherry Hill

Excitement ran high on Monday, May 16th, when more than 200 local and statewide political and business leaders – as well as dozens of Kennedy Health employees and supporters – came out for the  May 16th "Topping Off" of the new 22,000-square foot hospital lobby atrium under construction at the Kennedy University Hospital campus in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Everyone in attendance was invited to sign the steel beam used in the “Topping Off,” which, historically, is a builders’ rite that takes place when the last beam is placed atop a structure during its construction.
