Smiles were all around on Thursday, April 2nd, when the Easter Bunny visited Kennedy’s Ronald McDonald Pediatric Unit and the Maternity Center at Kennedy University Hospital in Washington Township. Kennedy’s youngest patients were delighted by the surprise visit, sponsored by the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department. The Easter Bunny passed out stuffed animals to the children during the hour-long event.

Each day, many South Jersey children don’t get balanced meals and the proper nutrition they need. Keeping true to its commitment to serve the community, Kennedy Health donated $2,000 to the Pennsauken-based South Jersey Food Bank in honor of Doctors’ Day 2015 on March 30th.

Kennedy University Hospital’s Ronald McDonald Family Room Receives Donation

For more than a decade, the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Kennedy University Hospital in Washington Township, NJ, has offered refreshments for families and games for youngsters to enjoy while at the hospital’s Emergency Department. In lieu of exchanging Christmas gifts, hospital Nursing management members pooled their resources to donate $1,000 to help support the Family Room, which is operated by the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey. Long-time Family Room volunteer Catherine Durante accepted the donation on March 25th at a special celebration.
