Singapore Nurses Visit Kennedy Health to learn about NICHE Designation

Three nurses from National University Hospital in Singapore, a 1,160-bed teaching facility, visited South Jersey-based Kennedy Health the week of December 5th to learn how Kennedy achieved NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders) Exemplar Status at all three of its hospital locations. NICHE designation recognizes a health care organization’s evidence-based, interdisciplinary approach to promote better outcomes and improved care for older adults. Exemplar Status is the highest of four NICHE program designations offered.

Kennedy University Hospital in Stratford Earns 2016 Leapfrog ‘Top Hospital’ Award

The Leapfrog Group announced today that Kennedy University Hospital – Stratford, a 181-bed acute care facility in southern New Jersey, has been named a 2016 Top Hospital. This marks the first time one of Kennedy Health’s three hospitals – located in Cherry Hill, Stratford and Washington Township, NJ – has been named to the list, considered one of the most prestigious distinctions a U.S. hospital can receive. The Leapfrog Top Hospital designation showcases Kennedy Health’s commitment to patient safety and quality.

Kennedy Health Receives $50,000 Check from Bottino Mud Run

Kennedy Health President & CEO Joseph W. Devine Wins La Salle University’s Prestigious Signum Fidei Medal

Kennedy Health President & CEO Joseph W. Devine, FACHE, was awarded the prestigious Signum Fidei Medal from La Salle University’s Alumni Association at its annual Alumni Awards Dinner, held in Philadelphia on November 18th.

Presented annually since 1942 to individuals or groups for upholding the humanitarian principles, goals and mission of La Salle University and the Christian Brothers, the Signum Fidei Medal derives its name from the motto of the Brothers of the Christian Schools – “Sign of Faith.” Previous winners include Peace Corps founder Sargent Shriver; Saint Gabriel’s System, a Philadelphia-based program that provides treatment services for troubled youth; and H. Edward Hanway, Chairman of Faith in the Future, a King of Prussia, PA-based  organization that aims to make Catholic education affordable.
