Kennedy’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) staff was honored at the 10th annual March of Dimes Born to Shine Gala on Saturday, October 22. Kennedy was one of five area NICU teams honored for making a difference every day for moms, dads and babies throughout our community.

Kennedy Health’s Chief Medical Officer H. Timothy Dombrowski, DO, MPH, FACOI, FACP, was honored by the Philadelphia Business Journal (PBJ) at the organization’s annual Health Care Innovator Awards event held in Philadelphia on October 20th.

Dr. Dombrowski was one of seven “Doctors of Distinction” honored, winning the Community Service Award. The PBJ editorial team chose this year’s winners following a comprehensive search for Philadelphia area doctors who excel both in and out of the hospital. The Community Service Award recognizes a physician who provides pro bono patient medical care services for people in need.

A special kick-off celebration was held Wednesday evening, October 5th, at Philadelphia’s One Liberty Observation Deck to celebrate the 15th annual Lights For The Cure™ campaign, a joint effort by CBS3/CW Philly and Susan G. Komen® Philadelphia that turns the City of Brotherly Love’s skyline pink for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Across the river, first-time event sponsor Kennedy Health is illuminating  its three South Jersey hospital campuses in pink throughout October to raise awareness about breast cancer. Public Service Announcements featuring Kennedy Medical Director of Radiation Oncology Tamara LaCouture, MD, will air on CBS3 throughout the month as well.
