What:   For the 6th year, Kennedy Health will host a day of fun-filled festivities – including a 5K Run/Walk –
to celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day. 
When: Sunday, June 5 5K Run/Walk – 8:30 a.m. (on-site registration at 7:30 a.m.) Cancer Survivors Day Activities – 9:15 a.m. to 12 noon.

A Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening for Kennedy-Washington Township’s $1.7 million Interventional Radiology Suite was held May 23rd. This brand-new Siemens IR lab enables Kennedy to perform many endovascular procedures with improved capabilities. With the addition of the integrated DynaCT Scan and 3-D laser-guided tracking, our physicians can now perform nonvascular interventions never before offered at Kennedy. Interventional Radiologist Dr. David Goldstein explained, “This new equipment allows us to perform all of our procedures with vastly improved imaging and post-processing capabilities as well as less dose and radiation exposure – meaning superior and safer care for our patients.”

On Thursday, May 19th, dozens of area EMS members, along with police and fire personnel, attended a special dinner and reception sponsored by Kennedy in recognition of National EMS Week, which this year had the theme “Called to Care.” The event, held at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine (RowanSOM), featured Dr. Henry Schuitema, Chief of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Kennedy - Stratford, presenting on the topic of sepsis prevention and diagnosis.
