Helene Burns, MSN, RN, Assistant Vice President of Clinical Services at Kennedy University Hospital in Stratford, NJ, and her husband Frank Burns (not pictured), along with Lt. Michael Meyers of the Stratford Police Department, were both recently recognized as an American Heart Association “Heartsaver Hero” for performing CPR and/or using an automatic external defibrillator (AED) to save someone’s life.

Penn Radiation Oncology at the Kennedy Cancer Center in Washington Township, NJ, was recently awarded a three-year term of re-accreditation as the result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The Kennedy Health System is currently the only healthcare system in Camden, Burlington and Gloucester counties that is a member of the Penn Cancer Network.

The recipients of the 2011 Beacon Awards presented by the South Jersey-based Kennedy Health System celebrated their achievement at the recent Kennedy Oscars-themed Gala held in Philadelphia. The awards are presented annually to extraordinary individuals in recognition of their outstanding contributions to healthcare in the community and to Kennedy's success.
