Patricia L. Burns, MSN, RN, has been named Vice President of Performance Management at the Kennedy Health System in southern New Jersey.  In this position, Ms. Burns will oversee functional areas related to patient safety, risk management, regulatory readiness and performance improvement.

In support of World Breastfeeding Week (August 1-7), the Kennedy Health System reminds mothers of the importance of breastfeeding. The World Breastfeeding Week 2012 slogan “The Road to Lifelong Health Begins with Breastfeeding” reinforces the importance of breastfeeding for long-term health.

Jim Latimer, a longtime physics teacher at Rancocas Valley High School in Mount Holly, has always tried to keep his students interested in learning. But over the past year, he’s found a new twist for his lesson plans: discussing his partial-knee replacement surgery at Kennedy University Hospital and his successful recovery.

Gui Valladares, MBA, has been named Vice President of Finance for the Kennedy Health System, an integrated healthcare delivery system in southern New Jersey. In this key role, he will oversee the general accounting, budget and reimbursement, and financial planning functions for Kennedy, which has more than 4,000 associates at its three hospital campuses and at various support facilities.
