Two Kennedy Nurses Finalists in Nurse Excellence Awards

Marianne Kraemer, RN, EdM, MPA, CCRN, and Alice Farrell, BSN, RN, CEN

Marianne Kraemer, RN, EdM, MPA, CCRN, and Alice Farrell, BSN, RN, CEN, have been named finalists in the prestigious 2012 Nurse Excellence Awards sponsored by Nursing Spectrum magazine. They will be honored at a special Gala in Philadelphia on May 8th.

Marianne, Assistant Vice President for Clinical Practice, was nominated and selected as a finalist in the category of Advancing and Leading the Profession. Under her leadership, Kennedy has made substantial positive strides in Nurse Sensitive Indicators/Patient Outcomes.  Marianne also provides consistent leadership for the Critical Care Service Line and Ethics Committee.

Alice, Nurse Manager of the WT Emergency Department, was nominated and selected as a finalist in the category of Staff/Patient Management.  Under her direction, improvements in patient throughput and satisfaction have been achieved. Alice’s support of patients, family and staff provides for the delivery of a higher level of clinically focused and customer-oriented care.

Along with the awards honorees, several other Kennedy RNs were nominated and invited to the Nursing Excellence Awards Gala as part of the “Honor Your Own” program. They are: Cheryl Rosselli, MSN, RN, CNRN, Corporate Director, Employee Health and Nursing Initiatives; Agnes Gallagher, MSN, RN, CCRN, Clinical Educator, Critical Care/ Cherry Hill; and Holly Lanutti, RN, BC, Charge Nurse, Adult Behavioral Health/Cherry Hill.
