|Two Kennedy Nurses Recognized as Finalists in Nurse Excellence Awards|

Two Kennedy Health System nurses – Marianne Kraemer, RN, EdM, MPA, CCRN, and Alice Farrell, BSN, RN, CEN, have been named finalists in the prestigious 2012 Nurse Excellence Awards sponsored by Nursing Spectrum magazine. They were honored at a special Gala in Philadelphia on May 8th during National Nurses Week.
Ms. Kraemer, a resident of Marlton, NJ, is Assistant Vice President of Clinical Practice at Kennedy and Ms. Farrell, of Oaklyn, NJ, is Nurse Manager of the Kennedy-Washington Township Emergency Department. The Greater Philadelphia/Tri-State Nurse Excellence Awards recognize the extraordinary contributions nurses make to their patients, other nurses, and the community. Hundreds of nurses from throughout the region were nominated by co-workers, supervisors, and community members.
Ms. Kraemer was nominated and selected as a finalist in the category of Advancing and Leading the Profession. Under her leadership, Kennedy has made substantial positive strides in Nurse Sensitive Indicators/Patient Outcomes. Ms. Kraemer also provides consistent leadership for the Critical Care Service Line and Ethics Committee.
Ms. Farrell was nominated and selected as a finalist in the category of Staff/Patient Management. Under her direction, improvements in patient throughput and satisfaction have been achieved. Ms. Farrell’s support of patients, family and staff provides for the delivery of a higher level of clinically focused and customer-oriented care.
Along with the awards honorees, several other Kennedy RNs were nominated and invited to the Nursing Excellence Awards Gala as part of the “Honor Your Own” program. They are: Cheryl Rosselli, MSN, RN, CNRN, of Cherry Hill, NJ, Corporate Director, Employee Health and Nursing Initiatives; Agnes Gallagher, MSN, RN, CCRN, of Delran, NJ, Clinical Educator, Critical Care at Kennedy - Cherry Hill; and Holly Lanutti, RN, BC, of Atco, NJ, Charge Nurse, Adult Behavioral Health at Kennedy - Cherry Hill.
