|Patricia Burns Named VP of Performance Management at Kennedy Health System|

Patricia L. Burns, MSN, RN, has been named Vice President of Performance Management at the Kennedy Health System in southern New Jersey. In this position, Ms. Burns will oversee functional areas related to patient safety, risk management, regulatory readiness and performance improvement.
With more than 25 years of experience in healthcare, she had most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Regency Hospital in Toledo, OH. Ms. Burns’ extensive background also includes serving in various acute care settings as Vice President of Patient Care Services, Administrator for Long-term Care and as an Executive Consultant.
In addition, she has 14 years of experience in quality, risk management and safety. Ms. Burns also served as a faculty advisor and clinical classroom instructor at the College of Health Professions/McAuley School of Nursing at the University of Detroit.
A graduate of the University of Michigan, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, Ms. Burns received a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. She has co-authored numerous publications on topics that include “Improving Financial Outcomes with High-Performing Charge Nurses” and “Achieving Financial Stability with Effective Resource Management.”
She is relocating from Michigan to South Jersey with her new position at Kennedy.
