|Kennedy Health System Board Director John P. Silvestri Receives March of Dimes ‘Born to Shine’ Award|

Kennedy Health System Board of Directors Chairman John P. Silvestri was recently honored by the March of Dimes for his commitment to pediatric healthcare at the 2013 “Born to Shine” Gala, held at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City on October 5th.
Silvestri, who is also a member of the Kennedy University Hospital Board of Trustees, serves as Chairman of the Kennedy Property Corporation Board, and the Kennedy Management Group, and is a member of the Kennedy Health Alliance Board of Trustees. Mr. Silvestri has more than 25 years of service with the Kennedy Health System.
Mr. Silvestri is the President of Site Development, Inc., of Mount Laurel, NJ, a multi-faceted real estate firm, and Interstate Commercial Real Estate, Inc. He has also served on the Boards of Commerce Bank/Shore, University of Pennsylvania Football Club and Galloway National Golf Club, Inc.
In 2006, Mr. Silvestri was the recipient of the New Jersey Hospital Association’s Healthcare Leader Award, presented annually to an NJHA member healthcare system trustee who “has contributed significantly to the health of the system through exceptional leadership, guidance and service to the healthcare system and communities it serves.”
Known for his dynamic leadership style, Mr. Silvestri is actively involved in the healthcare system’s major fundraiser, the annual Gala, which traditionally raises more than $200,000 each year to fund various Kennedy services. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, he resides with his wife, Ann, in Haddonfield, NJ.
