|Tuesday, April 29, 2014|
The Kennedy Health System has been named a finalist in the three categories of the 2014 NJBIZ Healthcare Heroes awards program:
Winners of the the Healthcare Heroes awards program will be announced at a special breakfast awards ceremony in Somerset, NJ, on June 24th. The program honors individuals and organizations making a significant impact on the quality of healthcare in New Jersey. Finalists were selected in 10 different categories.
Kennedy’s nomination for Hospital of the Year focused on its continued quest for excellence in healthcare services and delivery, with a focus on both primary care services and high-level care that it provides for area residents, close to home. Dr. Condoluci was nominated for Physician of the Year both for improving quality outcomes at Kennedy in his role as Chief Medical Officer and for his work in his chosen specialty of Infectious Diseases, especially as a renowned and highly respected advocate for people living with HIV/AIDS. Kennedy’s increased workplace wellness initiatives – including its corporate wellness pilot program – was the focus of its Workplace Wellness Hero nomination.
Finalists and winners are chosen by an independent panel of judges that includes: Jeff Brown, Affiliated ACOs at the NJ Health Care Quality Institute; Beverly J. Lynch, Advocacy and Management Group; Dean Paranicas, Healthcare Institute of New Jersey; and Wardell Sanders, New Jersey Association of Health Plans.
