Monday, July 14, 2014

Kennedy University Hospital in Stratford, NJ, remains fully accessible for patients, visitors and emergency vehicles while structural repairs are made to the the White Horse Road Bridge over the PATCO tracks in Lindenwold, which is closed to traffic indefinitely.

Traffic approaching the Stratford hospital, located at 18 E. Laurel Road, from the Voorhees area and points north can:

  • Take White Horse Road south from Route 561. Turn right at 2nd light onto Echelon Road and travel to first traffic light at Somerdale Road. Turn left onto Somerdale Road (Echelon Mall is on left) and continue through the next light (at Burnt Mill Road) to light at next major intersection, Route 30 (White Horse Pike). Turn left onto Route 30 and travel to the traffic light at Laurel Road. Turn right onto Laurel Road (which forks; bear to the left). Kennedy Hospital will be shortly ahead on the left, just past the traffic light at the Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine.

From Gloucester County and points south, travel to the hospital is unaffected.

“The detour is clearly marked and easy to follow, and hardly adds on any travel time when accessed from the Voorhees area and other points north,” said Robert Aulicino, Chief Administrative Officer at Kennedy – Stratford. “We appreciate the patience and understanding of patients and visitors during the bridge reconstruction, and Kennedy Hospital in Stratford stands ready to serve the community as always, for both routine and emergency care.”
