Dr. Donald Barone is a member of the Kennedy Health Board of Directors.
An Associate Professor and Chief of the Division of Neurology at the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine (RowanSOM), Dr. Barone is a Consulting Neurologist at Kennedy University Hospital, and served as the Section Head of Neurology from 1979 to 1998, accepting this position again in 2011.
A 2013 recipient of the Kennedy Beacon Award for his commitment to the healthcare organization and its vision, Dr. Barone is Director of the Multiple Sclerosis Center of South Jersey, and Director of the Muscular Dystrophy Association Clinic at Kennedy University Hospital. He also serves on the Clinical Advisory Committees for the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter-National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, and the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation-Garden State Chapter.
A graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Barone completed his Internship at Kennedy University Hospital – Stratford, a Neurology Residency at University of Vermont College of Medicine Hospital, and a Muscular Dystrophy Association-funded Fellowship in Neuromuscular Diseases at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center.
Dr. Barone and his wife, Kathleen, reside in Westhampton, NJ.
