Joseph W. Devine, FACHE, is Senior Vice President/Administration, for the Kennedy Health System. He has served Kennedy in many capacities during his 26 years of service, including as Vice President of Hospital Services; Vice President/Business Development & External Relations; and Associate Vice President/Corporate Services. As Senior Vice President, he oversees the health system’s operations, including its acute, ambulatory, long-term care and outside business ventures. Mr. Devine is also active in government and community relations for Kennedy, and is a visible leader in the South Jersey business and civic community. Mr. Devine is a 2011 Kennedy Beacon Award winner, presented in recognition of his outstanding contributions to healthcare in the community and to Kennedy’s ongoing success. He was also honored as the 2011 “Business Person of the Year” by the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce, and was a 2011 recipient of The Philadelphia Pinnacle Award, presented by The Millay Club of Saint John Neumann High School to individuals who have reached the highest levels of career achievement and public service to their community. Mr. Devine was also selected as one of South Jersey Magazine’s 2011 “Men of the Year” – area leaders recognized for “their ideals, their accomplishments and their visions for the future.” Currently, Mr. Devine serves as a Commissioner of the South Jersey Transportation Authority, as a member of the New Jersey Hospital Association Policy Development Committee, as a board member of both the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce and with the Adam Taliaferro Foundation, which supports athletes with spinal cord injuries. He was also past Chairperson for the South Jersey Heart Walk, and served as Chairperson for the Arthritis Foundation Walk. Mr. Devine was the 2007 winner of the “Community Benefit Award” at the Dancing with the Gloucester County Stars event by raising $62,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities Pediatric Center at Kennedy. A Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, Mr. Devine holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. He and his wife, Dina, and his family reside in Washington Township, NJ. |
