 Each and every day, STAT Medical Transport is on the go – literally. STAT is committed to meeting the need for non-emergent medical transportation throughout South Jersey. A subsidiary of the Kennedy Health System, STAT began as a small hospital-based service in 1983 and has grown into a multi-faceted business that serves both the South Jersey medical community and our patients. STAT has earned a reputation of excellence in the industry, working closely with the New Jersey State Department of Health, Medicare, Medicaid, insurance providers, and related experts, to ensure that the finest care and service is provided to our clients. In addition, our staff members receive ongoing training, which ensures that clients always receive the highest level of service. Our Transportation Specialties Managed by a team of highly trained professionals, STAT offers these eight specialties: Ambulance Transportation Provides basic transportation needs for Kennedy as well as many outside contracted facilities Specialty Care Transport Units Critical Care RN accompanies patients who require cardiac monitoring, IV therapy and ventilators Mobility-assisted Vehicles (MAVs) MAV drivers transport patients who require a wheelchair Shuttle Transportation Transportation to and from doctor's appointments, same-day surgeries and pharmacies, as well as ambulatory patient discharges Behavioral Health Transport Transportation for Kennedy's detox, substance abuse and behavioral health patients Radiation/Oncology Program Transportation to and from patient's residence and the Radiation Oncology Center for treatment Courier Services The courier moves mail, makes bank deposits, ferries letters, charts and specimens Billing Services Our on-site claims processors work with clients, insurers, social service and case management to insure payment is received. About Our Fleet All of STAT's vehicles are serviced by our in-house ASE-certified mechanics according to a strictly monitored preventive maintenance program. STAT's fleet is housed in heated garages, ensuring our ability to respond in a timely manner, even in severe weather. Transport Coordinators Ensure Efficiency STAT has Transport Coordinators located at each Kennedy hospital campus. These associates work with social services and case managers to ensure that the patient is ready when the transport team arrives. They also make sure that all charts are copied, transfer forms signed, etc. This cuts down on "wait time" on the floors and allows STAT to run more effectively and avoid delays.
