The Center for Advanced Wound Care & Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy at Kennedy  is an outpatient treatment facility that provides comprehensive treatment for non-healing wounds -- meaning a wound or sore that hasn’t significantly improved in a month, or completely healed in two months.

We offer our patients the most advanced wound care treatments available, using evidence-based clinical guidelines to ensure good outcomes.

Our highly trained, multidisciplinary team of podiatrists, vascular surgeons, reconstructive plastic surgeons, and certified wound-care nurses provide comprehensive, personalized care for wounds that are caused by:

  • Complications of diabetes
  • Constricted blood vessels
  • Leg swelling
  • Pressure (i.e. bedsores)
  • Radiation cystitis
  • Vascular disease
  • Other chronic conditions
What To Expect At Your First Visit

During your initial visit to The Center for Advanced Wound Care & Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy at Kennedy, our caring staff will evaluate your wound and general health, as well as review your medical history. You may also need special tests and blood work to determine the status of blood flow and oxygen flow in the wound area.

Your Healing Program

A specialized treatment program, based on your individual needs, will be developed and carefully monitored throughout your time with us. This program will include regular visits to The Center for Advanced Wound Care & Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy at Kennedy for treatment, evaluation of your progress, and to revise your treatment plan if necessary.  You (or your caregiver) will be given detailed instructions in home care, dressing (bandage) changes, and protecting the wound from further injury.

 Your personalized treatment plan may include:

Working with Your Doctor

The medical team at The Center for Advanced Wound Care & Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy at Kennedy works with your regular physician to develop your treatment plan and will keep him or her updated on your progress. While a patient at our facility, you will continue to see your regular doctor for routine medical care.

Insurance Coverage

Many health plans cover wound care treatment; your coverage will depend on your specific plan. Please remember to bring your insurance card and driver’s license with you at the time of your first appointment.
