Nursing Leadership Academy
The Jefferson Health New Jersey Nursing Leadership Academy underscores our commitment to professional enrichment and advancement opportunities. The Academy, which supports Jefferson Health New Jersey’s Shared Governance nursing model, is designed for nurse executives, managers and charge nurses. It provides level-specific skills, such as leadership styles, financial management, strategic planning and managing priorities. The Leadership Academy serves as a powerful tool to help nurses advance in their careers, and also serves as the foundation for stronger nurse recruitment and retention, leading to succession planning and greater staff satisfaction.
Jefferson Health New Jersey’s Education Department is committed to the success of each nurse who joins our outstanding patient care team. You and your Nurse Manager will plan your clinical orientation. A preceptor will be assigned to work closely with you on each shift. A Clinical Nurse Specialist may also monitor your progress and can facilitate enhanced learning experiences as you need them. You will also receive a Clinical Orientation Workbook containing unit-specific tools to use each orientation day.
Per Diem Nursing
Are you looking to use your skills in a progressive and flexible atmosphere? Jefferson Health New Jersey Per Diem Nursing recruits and retains qualified relief associates to supplement the needs of Jefferson Health New Jersey's three main hospital locations. Jefferson Health New Jersey is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and offers flexible hours and a clinical orientation program using simulation. Educational programs are also available. Per Diem RN associates must be available to work a minimum of three 12 hour shifts during a four-week period, with at least 12 of those hours being fulfilled on weekends. Holiday requirements include one summer and one winter holiday. RNs have very competitive salary ranges. The Per Diem Nursing Department has relief and some full-time opportunities available for qualified RNs (Medical, Surgical, Telemetry and ICU), Certified Nursing Assistants, Unit Secretaries and Monitor Technicians.
