Jefferson Health’s Washington Township Campus Continues to Grow: Addition of Medical Oncology Infusion Suite Coming Soon
It’s a time of intense growth and progress at Jefferson Health’s Washington Township campus, with construction underway and new patient-focused services offered.
In January, the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center – Washington Township introduced a Medical Oncology Program, led by Dr. Ana María López, Vice Chair of Medical Oncology and Chief of Cancer Services. The state-of-the-art, patient-centered program offers chemotherapy, immunotherapy, genetic counseling and supportive care.
Soon, these Medical Oncology services will be offered within the $7.2 million, 10,500 square-foot Medical Oncology Infusion Suite, which will feature 16 infusion bays, as well as an onsite pharmacy and laboratory.
The addition of the Infusion Suite will ensure that patients receive a comprehensive range of cancer services – including prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, support and follow-up – all in one location at the Cancer Center.
The Medical Oncology & Infusion Suite’s dedicated team of medical oncologists, medical assistants, clinical nurses, infusion nurses, nurse navigators, and supportive administrative staff are all committed to the care of our patients.
Jefferson Health offers a multidisciplinary approach to cancer treatment, providing personalized, team-based, compassionate and holistic care for the highest quality outcomes. The Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center – Washington Township, complementing its Comprehensive Breast Center, Lung Nodule Center, Gynecologic Oncology Program, Radiation Oncology Program, and Medical Oncology Program, also features an array of supportive programs for people living with cancer and their families.
