Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center – Washington Township Helps Donate 260 ‘Blessing Bags’ to Local Homeless
Giving back to those in need is what makes the holiday season so special. Members of the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center - Washington Township team — led by Peggy Wight, BA, CTR, Director of Oncology Data Services — recently did just that.
Through Cancer Center associates and Wight’s family donating snacks, tissues, shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, and body lotion, they were able to assemble 260 “blessing bags” for Camden and Philadelphia homeless.
“I wanted to thank everyone who was able to donate for the homeless ‘blessing bags,’” Wight said. “The Cancer Center has an awesome team, and I am honored to work with them.”
The bags will be distributed over the next two weekends.
