Stratford Care Now Specialist Fits in Longtime Patient When They Need it Most
It was the end of a long week when Roisin Welsh, Magnet Data Analyst at Jefferson Health - New Jersey, sat down to have dinner with her family and noticed her daughter start to shiver. She wouldn’t touch her food, and she was burning up with a fever of 103.
With her pediatrician’s office closed, and hesitant to make a trip to the Emergency Department, Welsh called her primary care specialist Rosemary DeCicco, PA-C, at Stratford Care Now. Welsh, of West Berlin, has been a patient of DeCicco’s for almost four years, and lives down the street from the office.
After speaking with DeCicco on the phone, Welsh was told to bring her daughter right over. Within 30 minutes of noticing her daughter was sick, they were in the office, being treated.
“I was so appreciative of this thoughtful gesture,” Welsh said. “She took her time with us and treated us with kindness.”
Welsh’s daughter was diagnosed with an ear infection and given a prescription for antibiotics, as well as reindeer stickers and lollipops on the way out.
“I knew they were closing at 8 p.m.,” Welsh continued, “but they didn’t seem to make it an issue that it was getting close to that time. They did not seem inconvenienced at all.”
Welsh’s daughter was born prematurely, so when she falls sick, it’s incredibly worrisome. For this reason, it was really important to Welsh that her daughter be seen as soon as possible.
“I had a feeling that this wasn’t technically an emergency, but it was difficult for me not to be scared,” Welsh said. “I knew that if I called DeCicco, as a mom herself, she’d be able to give me some peace of mind and let me know that everything was going to be okay.”
In addition to her routine appointments, Welsh makes the short trip to Stratford Care Now whenever she isn’t feeling well, whether it’s an earache or a stuffy nose.
“There are never any issues, even when you walk in with no appointment,” Welsh said. “Every time I go there, the staff is just wonderful. From the front desk, to the physician’s assistants – they are all extremely polite and kind!”
You can receive the same immediate and compassionate care that Welsh did at either of our convenient locations in Stratford and Washington Township.
