Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program

What is the Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program (ADOL PHP)?

Our Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at Washington Township offers our clientele a safe and warm group based environment designed to inspire positive change in thinking and behavioral patterns. We have structured our program to meet state and federal guidelines in addressing the myriad of challenging issues our teens face today at home, at school and within the community that cause an increase in anxiety and depressive symptoms. We provide evidence based therapeutic intervention techniques specifically designed to aid the clients in gaining insight into illness by addressing past, current and future fear based/distorted thinking that contributes towards their struggles.

For more information on the Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program, please call 856-582-1419.

What Treatment Techniques are Used?

Our ADOL PHP clinical staff is well trained and educated in varying therapeutic philosophies and techniques that are used to help clients in combating symptoms associated with a wide range of behavioral health challenges including, but not limited to: Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and Psychosis. Adolescents who struggle in these areas often encounter difficulties in school, at home, and in social situations and experience identity and self-esteem issues as a result.  The program structure allows for a max total of ten clients ranging from ages 13-18 (18 only if they are still enrolled full-time in high school). The clients work in a group based environment addressing personal and collective issues and learn positive coping strategies designed to reduce/eliminate their distress leading to self-destructive behaviors and thought patterns.

How Long Does the Program Last?

The program is 4-6 weeks in length, but time frames do vary from client to client based on attendance, acuity and implementation of therapeutic teachings at home and in the community.  We work with many insurance companies and accept Medicaid. Specific program details can be explained by our highly trained staff at Jefferson Behavioral Health at Washington Township and more specifically by both of the counselors for that program.
